Nassau Bowmen in Action!

The following is a description of the Park given in the Nassau County website:

“Cedar Creek Park” Program

Off Merrick Road, Seaford, (516) 571-7473

Cedar Creek Park offers the usual assortment of recreational activities along with a few of Nassau’s more unique facilities. Available court games include handball, paddleball, tennis, and basketball. There are 4 soccer and two softball fields for which a permit is required, and a bicycle path which is the entrance of the Jones Beach Bike Path. Football and soccer are also played at Cedar Creek Park. Unreserved picnic areas are available on a first-come, first-served basis, while a reserved picnic area accommodates up to 100 people. An aerodrome field designed especially for radio-controlled model airplane hobbyists is available, and requires a permit which may be obtained by calling 571-7460. Sled hills, and a roller rink (open during January and February, weather permitting) round out the offerings at Cedar Creek. Tennis and picnics need Leisure Passports. Jogging enthusiasts will enjoy a jogging path (1 & 1.5 mile). Cedar Creek Park offers an archery range (must supply own equipment) and a playground.

Note:  Use of the archery field may subject the user to a county fee.  Shooting fees collected during tournaments will be used to cover that expense for the period of the tournament.  At all other times, archers are responsible for paying their own fees. This information is subject to change without notice.
